It’s always burger season in the South. Whether it’s cold outside or a 100°F …it’s time to enjoy some good company and eat outdoors. In Mississippi, the summers tend to finally die out around the end of October. You won’t see us complain, though. The sunny days give us the perfect excuse to get outside and do the things we love: entertaining, yard work, sports, and, of course, grilling.

Garlic Yogurt Sauce
3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 T lemon juice
4-5 (or more) roasted garlic cloves
Combine in a food processor and pulse until garlic is well blended. Cover and chill while preparing meat to allow flavors to marry.
Mediterranean Burger Patty
2 lbs Ground Chuck
1 sweet onion chopped
1 1/2 t cumin
1 1/2 t garlic powder
1 t sweet paprika
1 t fine ground morning roast
1/2 t allspice
1/2 t cinnamon

Combine and form into burgers. Grilling is best, but stovetop work just fine too. Cook to preferred temp. Build burger with yogurt sauce and choice toppings and enjoy!
